Deric sat at a desk, his face buried in the pages of a book, as usual. He wished he had a friend - he tried to be nice and friendly, but no one ever seemed to pay attention to him. But that was okay, he had other friends.... Like this book, for instance. This book might be his friend. You never know, the book might be thinking and have feelings and stuff.... Deric shook his head. His boredom seemed to be turning into insanity.

Lily skipped into the library. She halted as she passed a Hufflepuff she had never met before. He looked lonely and bored. Lily decided she'd cheer him up.

Deric was staring at the pages of the book, but he didn't realize it. Maybe he really was going insane. He didn't even notice when Lily stopped beside him.

Liliana came in with a look of dertermination on her face. she knew why she was here and what she was going to do. She headed to the table where that Hufflepuff was sitting pulled out her wand, at down, and said, "Accio Books on Tranfiguration" A dozen books flew to her and plopped beside the Hufflepuff kid. She picked one and started to flip throught it, paying no attention to the Hufflepuff.

Deric finally noticed the two Ravenclaws, and a look of confusion appeared on his face. He got up and moved to another table.

Liliana looked up from her book and saw that the Hufflepuff and moved. "Oh well, beggers can't be choosers." she mumbled and focused back on her book.

Deric flipped open his book to the page he was on, which he had marked with his thumb. Now he shouldn't be bothered....

Lily followed him and sat down next to him."Hi, I am Lily Potter. What's your name?" she asked as sshe introduced heself.

Deric looked up at the younger of the Ravenclaws. She had followed him. "Deric Hampton," he replied.

Azul entered the library, a few books clutched to her chest. She needed to make a few returns, and maybe check out some new books. Since electives had been cancelled, Azul had a lot of extra time on her hands, to read. She returned her books, then headed for the mythology section.

Liliana looked up at the Gryfinndor. "She's the new Gryfindor Captain!" she realized and she sprang up. Liliana walk up to her and smiled. "Hi, I'm Liliana Yorker, 4th Year. Your the new Gryfindor Captain, right?" she asked.

"Yeah, Azul Weasley. Liliana Yorker right?" Azul asked, extending her hand.

"Yeah." Liliana shook her hand and smiled. "What position do you play? I'm Chaser." she asked.

"What year are you in?" She asked him curiously.

"Uh, fourth," Deric replied. "You?"
